Writer, Producer, Cultural Critic

Ellice D. Ellis is a producer, writer, and critic from Washington, DC, based in Los Angeles.

She serves as Director of Podcast & Digital Content at Therapy for Black Girls, a leading mental health podcast.

Under her leadership the show has become an award-winning institution — earning multiple Webby Awards, an NAACP Image Award, an Ambie Award, and a Signal Award — while building partnerships with organizations like Disney/Pixar, Chase, and Spotify.

She runs A Few Minutes, a boutique showrunning and editorial studio. Through A Few Minutes, she has produced cultural events including a 2022 conversation with Tela D’Amore of Who Decides War in NYC and a 2025 experiential mentorship event for Nike’s Air Max Muse in Washington, DC, in partnership with SNIPES.

Every Sunday, the A Few Minutes newsletter asks a few people a couple of questions about what’s going on in culture. It’ll take a few minutes. That’s the point.

Her writing on Black life, music, media, and design has appeared in Apartment Therapy, Teen Vogue, Rolling Stone, and GRAMMY.com.

Ellice is a 2026 Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in Media.
